PUBLIC EVENT for all ages!   
Families for the Earth
    
10:30 a.m. Interfaith intergenerational worship service with Rev. Bud Heckman preaching.  Bud is the Executive Director of the Tri-Faith Initiative in Omaha.  To learn more about this one-of-a-kind national initiative, go to:   https://trifaith.org/
    Light lunch 
   
    Afternoon 

       
Children will enjoy activities with certified naturalists...GO NATURE!  while adults learn from scientists and experts in the hydroponics field.

Elders for the Earth

Sunday, October 7, 5 p.m. is the official start to Elders for the Earth Chautauqua (designed for those 50 and older)!  We'll enjoy a cooking demonstration and then a delicious local food dinner, get acquainted and learn about the Worm Wrangler from Lincoln,  http://bigredworms.com/
Monday and Tuesday are full of plenary speakers, workshops, playshops and time to enjoy the park!  Topics to be addressed include:  OPPD and their commitment to renewable energy, organic farming, the sustainability model at the University of Nebraska Hospital, green burial options  and more.


Registration fees:
Families for the Earth - Sunday morning and afternoon:  $5 per person/$10 per family which includes a light lunch

Elders for the Earth Registration for Sunday evening through Tuesday: $110

Part time options:
Sunday evening/First day of Elders for the Earth: A Retreat in the Spirit of Chautauqua  $20 which includes a cooking demonstration, delicious local foods meal and speaker.
Monday/Second day of Elders for the Earth: $70 which includes three meals, all speakers and workshops.
Tuesday/Third and final day of Elders for the Earth:  $30  which includes two meals, all speakers and workshops.

Scholarships are available for registration costs.

Participants arrange own housing options:  cabins, lodge rooms, camping at Mahoney State Park or commuting.  Go to Accomodations in the above menu for details and link to housing at Mahoney State Park.
